Meet Leni
A SWEET, SHY & CURIOUS GIRL: Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 14 lbs. Hi, I’m Leni! I came to Mostly Mutts from a home that had a lot of dogs! We needed help when our dad had to go into Hospice care, so Mostly Mutts was able to take me, and quite a few others, into their program. Now I’m ready to find a new home and family of my very own! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, but I came in with other dogs, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / I spent two nights in a temporary foster home, where the two cats that live there were indifferent towards me, as I was towards them. So, if you have a kitty, let’s meet. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was very scared – but very sweet – when I first arrived at the shelter. I’m still a very shy but also friendly girl who is getting used to being around new people and learning as I go. I came from a home with so many dogs that I’m not used to being loved on and getting my deserved share of attention – but I look forward to getting there! / My energy level is currently 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer! Check back soon to see what I've learned. / I am new to the crate but did well in my short break foster home. In fact, I sort of enjoyed it as my ‘safe place’. / I’m doing pretty well with my potty manners at the MM shelter and did well in my temp. foster home with frequent let outs. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: As I have grown more comfortable, I enjoy hanging out with people. My temp. foster mom and I spent time sitting together and getting to know each other, and I liked that! My doxy curiosity kicked in during my visit, and I enjoyed exploring the back yard. Also, the shelter volunteers discovered that Pup-Peroni treats help me warm up to them – yum! / I don’t really care for being picked up (perhaps it is foreign to me with so many dogs around in my previous home). Otherwise, I can’t think of any real dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I was rushed into new situations and if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I needed a good dental cleaning when I arrived at Mostly Mutts, and I’ve had that now so my mouth is fresh again. Since I'm a Dachshund, I naturally have a long back which is subject to injury, so please don't allow me to jump on and off furniture so we can keep me safe and healthy. I am looking for a loving home that will welcome me as a furry family member! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets.
