Meet Bossy
Bossy along with his brother and sister were found after being abandoned on a back road. They were very skittish, and it took a while to trap them. They had either not had much human interaction, or the interaction they had was not positive. Bossy is a shy pup who’s still learning to trust the world around him. He isn't quite ready for us to walk him on a leash, but he is very interested when we take his brother Pesto out for walks. With patience, love, and a quiet environment, Bossy is sure to continue gaining confidence and will make a great companion for the right person or family. His birthday is 4/24/22, he is neutered, up to date on shots, and weighs 35lbs. Bossy isn’t quite ready for adoption, but please let us know if you would like to meet him. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. All of our dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. To adopt, contact 864-391-2349 or [email protected]. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization. To learn more, visit www.hsmcsc.org.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
