My name is Lois Vassilion and I moved to this impoverished area of SE Ga. 15 years ago. My main profession is a Critical Care Nurse. When my husband and I got here, we discovered there were no animal services in the county and abandoned pets everywhere. We started BARC at that time to provide health services to these pets and a home.

BARC Welcomes LAKE to rescue! This blue bundle of joy came to rescue with her littermates from an Oops litter. Mom is being spayed so this won’t happen again. Lake is an adorable potty with sweet blue eyes and ready to play. She is the perfect age to integrate with a new pet, dog or cat. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and rescue pays for spay. Adoption Process
The person must fill out an online application and be approved. They sign a contract and are given a copy of the health record. Our adoption fees range from $100-$350 depending on the adoptability of the pet.
