Meet Thelma
Thelma is super sweet with people and would like nothing more than to sit in a recliner beside someone being loved. She also enjoys a good run around the yard playing with her friend that was found with her. She is totally crate trained and she behaves beautifully while in the crate. Thelma's a quiet dog but will get animated when it’s dinner time. She would go best in a house as an only pet. She is also smart and she knows how to climb a chain link fence. Thelma could be part Jack Russell Terrier, Chihuahua or Rat Terrier. She weighs 14 lbs and with an estimated date of birth of 12/12/21. She is up to date on her shots and will be spayed and microchipped soon. Thelma is looking for a person or family to love. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. All of our dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. To adopt, contact 864-391-2349 or [email protected]. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization. To learn more, visit www.hsmcsc.org.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
