Meet Mika
Hi there- I wanted to introduce Mika. We rescued Mika from a shelter back in May 2024. She is turning 2 in January. Mika is a “Pocket Pitty”. 40 pounds of 100% pit bull terrier(we did embark). She was spaded Before we adopted; we rescued her from Colleton county animal shelter. Our vet brought her up to date with her shots, and she is chipped. Mika comes with a 6 week professional training through Canine Revolution (https://caninerevolutiondogtraining.com/), which we have personally kept up after she came home from training. She is a high spirited girl with lots of energy. Mika loves to snuggle in the curve of your knees while lounging on the couch after a good training session, walk, and a bike ride. That’s right, she is trained to heel while you are riding a bike. How have we reached this point? Why are we wanting to find Mika a forever home. When Mika was brought home and introduced to LuLu they played, and played. We had a happy two dog household until we returned from Vacation in August. All of the people that we conversed with told us we handled retuning home all wrong. Bottom line is the two girls got in a fight. We were encouraged to train them before we made any other decisions. We sent both dogs to Canine Revolution dog training. We selected the six week training program to ensure they would know their commands. A week after they returned from training we had to go to Asheville to check on family. We had to take the girls with us. Up until this point the dogs have been separated in a kennels, or cots. We traveled with them together in the back seat of the truck. We have decided that even though we love Mika; we need to find her a home where she can have free roam. At this time nether dog has fee access to the house. Mika & LuLu’s training allows them to be in the same room on their cots, but that is their spot they stay in until released. Mika is a good girl. We love her, and that is why we want to place her in a good home. We contacted the rescue, and they would simply euthanize her if she were to return. We don’t want that to happen. So, here we are; searching for a good home for Mika. If you are thinking about getting a dog. consider Mika. She still has the energy of a puppy. She is potty trained, kennel trained, she knows the spot command and stays on her cot. When you walk her she stays right with you. Mika is the perfect adoption. Everything has already been addressed. She just needs a loving family. Mika has played well with other dogs. From our experience we feel she would thrive as the only pet in the household. We chose Canine Revolution to train our girls, and they did an excellent job. This training follows Mika throughout her life. They stand by their work, and will work with you to ensure Mika is successful. **** Breed: Pit bull terrier **** Pet Link: https://www.nokillnetwork.org/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2172805&flag=1
