Pet Adoption League of Gem County

We are a non-profit animal shelter ran by animal loving volunteers. We are a no kill shelter. We spay and neuter all our pets before adopting out. Our goal here is to return lost pets to their owners, find homes for those who have none, and promote compassionate treatment of animals everywhere.

Meet Elizabeth - (Sponsored)

Meet Elizabeth - Your Future Cuddling Companion! Elisabeth is a beautiful and affectionate 5-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier with a heart full of love to give. Her friendly nature makes her an instant favorite with everyone she meets. Elisabeth enjoys her daily walks and thrives on the companionship of people. Personality: Elizabeth is a true people-lover and enjoys nothing more than spending time with her favorite humans. Her sweet and gentle nature makes her a delight to be around, and she's always eager to show affection through cuddles and snuggles. Elizabeth is a genuine cuddle bug, and she's sure to bring warmth and love into any home. Breed Traits: American Pit Bull Terriers are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and zest for life. They are people-oriented dogs who form strong bonds with their families. Their playful and energetic nature makes them great companions for active individuals or families. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bulls are gentle, loving, and excellent with children. Special Considerations: Elizabeth would do best as the only dog in the household. While she loves people, she prefers to have all the attention to herself and may feel overwhelmed by the presence of other dogs. In a home where she's the sole recipient of love and affection, Elizabeth will flourish and bond deeply with her human companions. Skills and Training: Despite her past as a stray, Elizabeth is a smart and obedient pup. She knows basic commands like sit and enjoys learning new tricks, especially if treats are involved! Elizabeth takes pride in her paw-shaking skills and loves to impress her humans with her talents. With continued positive reinforcement and patience, she's sure to excel in her training. Ideal Home: Elizabeth is searching for a home where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love and affection she deserves. She would thrive in a household where she's treated like royalty and given plenty of opportunities for cuddling and snuggling. A family who enjoys spending quality time with their furry companion and is committed to providing her with a loving and stable environment would be the perfect match for Elizabeth. Adoption/Foster: If you're interested in welcoming this pup into your home, please contact PAL to arrange a meet-and-greet for adoption or discuss fostering options. If you would like to fill out the form for adopting or fostering, please complete the adoption form here (for adoption) or the foster application here (for fostering). Volunteer Opportunities: PAL is always looking for individuals eager to lend a helping hand as a volunteer. Whether you can spare a couple of hours a week or more, there are many opportunities available to suit your schedule. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please submit an application here.  You can also find additional content about PAL at our Face Book page here and our You Tube Channel here. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of animals in need.
