Pet Adoption League of Gem County

We are a non-profit animal shelter ran by animal loving volunteers. We are a no kill shelter. We spay and neuter all our pets before adopting out. Our goal here is to return lost pets to their owners, find homes for those who have none, and promote compassionate treatment of animals everywhere.

Meet Cocoa

Meet Cocoa – The Sweet, House-Trained Companion Looking for a Loving Home! Cocoa is a unique 5-year-old Chihuahua and Pit Bull Terrier mix with a charming personality and a beautiful brown coat. Medium-sized and currently weighing 48 pounds, he has a bit of extra weight and could use some help slimming down to reach his ideal size. With some regular exercise and a healthy diet, Cocoa will be on his way to a fitter, happier life. This well-mannered boy is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, so he’s all set to join a loving family. According to his previous owner, Cocoa is house-trained and gets along great with cats, dogs, and kids, making him a fantastic fit for almost any household. His easy-going nature means he’ll adapt well to different family dynamics and be a loyal companion to everyone. Cocoa is ready to find a forever home where he can enjoy the company of his new family and work toward a healthier lifestyle. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly dog who’s already great with other pets and kids, Cocoa could be the perfect match for you. Come meet Cocoa at the shelter and see if he’s the gentle companion you’ve been searching for. He’s eager to settle into his new home and start his journey to a healthier, happier life!
