Meet Pesto

Pesto, he is a 3 ½ years old, 26 lbs. male Chihuahua – Terrier mix with short brown hair and white spots on his chest and rear feet. He was 10-week-old when he arrived from a foster of “No Dogs Left Behind” at the end of July 2021. Pesto has been almost weekly at the dog camp day care since he was a puppy and loves it, he does well with other dogs and plays the best with dogs of similar size. He has been growing up with a young cat and they got along well. Pesto has been in contact with children 12 years or older, but our both kids are now studying out of town and he is missing them; unfortunately, our health does not permit us to look after him alone and we are looking for a good family to give him a new home. Pesto is an active, healthy and loyal dog, he is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and has been at regular veterinary check-ups. He is food & treat motivated and eager to please and playful, he loves tennis balls, ropes and squeaky toys. Pesto is fun to have around but he can get some anxiety from fireworks and loud vehicles driving close by. It would be great if the family adopting him had an enclosed and fenced yard for him to safely run, play and hang out, ideally with another dog friend.
