Are you looking for a loyal companion who’s as sweet as he is handsome? Look no further than Pilot, our charming 3-year-old lab mix with a heart of gold. Weighing in at a solid 54 pounds, Pilot is a gentle giant with a personality that shines brightly once you get to know him. Pilot might be a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you—he's a fun-loving, affectionate boy who warms up quickly with a bit of patience. His low-energy nature means he's equally happy lounging on the couch for some cozy snuggles or enjoying a leisurely walk. Though a fenced yard would be ideal for him, he’d do perfectly well with regular walks to keep him happy and healthy. One of Pilot’s standout features is his incredibly soft, long coat. Not only is it a delight to pet, but it’s also surprisingly easy to maintain. He’s a model resident in his kennel, always keeping it clean and only making noise when he’s expressing his desire to be close to you. Because he can be vocal, we recommend a home without shared walls. Pilot’s training is coming along splendidly—he goes straight to his kennel when asked and loves to show off his tricks for a tasty treat. His favorite pastime? Belly rubs, of course! Pilot also enjoys chewing on bones and playing with his toys, making him a joy to be around. Pilot is Heartworm Positive, but this is not contagious. Wish Bone would love to see him continue his treatment in his forever home. We will provide the treatment. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who’ll bring warmth and joy into your home, Pilot is your guy. Apply to meet him today and see if he’s the perfect match for you! His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
