Meet Prince, a sweet and gentle giant looking for his forever home. This two-year-old Akita weighs in at 72 pounds and is as well-mannered as they come. Prince knows how to sit, shake, and lay down, and he takes treats with the utmost gentleness. Here at the shelter, he keeps a spotless kennel, is calm and quiet, and walks beautifully on a leash. Prince loves spending time outdoors, exploring the yard, and soaking up his surroundings. While he may be a little timid when you first meet him, he quickly warms up and becomes your loyal best friend. He's great with other dogs and, with his gentle nature and lack of jumping, we think he could thrive in a home with kids. Prince is highly food motivated, making him a joy to train and a companion eager to please. If you're looking for a loving, well-trained pup to add to your family, Prince could be your perfect match. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
