Meet Daphne

This beauty is Daphne, a one-year-old Terrier mix who weighs 51 pounds. She is very close to being housebroken and does well in her crate. She has typical young dog energy but is not mouthy nor a jumper. Daphne is good with dogs of all sizes and is typically submissive, although she prefers if they don't come close to her crate. Although it's not required, another confident dog in her new household would help her feel comfortable with new people more quickly. Daphne has been interested in her foster mom's cats and hasn't experienced any issues with them. Daphne would likely do well with dog-saavy cats.  Although Daphne hasn't been exposed to children, her foster mom thinks she'd be fine with them. She walks fairly well on the leash unless there's a bunny or squirrel...then the chase is on! Daphne's foster mom shared: "Daphne is a great dog who would thrive with an active family. She loves walks, hiking, and playing with her doggy friends. She's initially scared of new people but with someone dedicated to building her confidence, she seems more than capable of overcoming it.  Her adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
