several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Meet Pyro, a 1.5-year-old, 62-pound Rottweiler mix with a personality as big as his heart! Pyro is a goofy, happy, and energetic boy who absolutely loves to play. Whether it's a game of tug-of-war or running around the yard, this guy is always ready for fun and adventure. His bouncy energy makes him a bundle of joy, but he may be best suited for an active family without young kids, as he tends to jump when he's excited. He’s already mastered the command “sit,” which is a great way to help him calm down during those moments of excitement. While he’s a bit of a whirlwind, Pyro is also a quiet boy here at the shelter and loves to show his affection in his own sweet way. If you're looking for a fun-loving, playful companion with a ton of love to give, Pyro just might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see if you’re ready for the endless love and joy this guy will bring into your life! His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
