Meet Josey, a lively purebred Lab overflowing with joy and affection. At almost 2-years old she weighs about 62 pounds. Josey's energy is contagious, making her an ideal companion for an active family. She's mastered house training and crate etiquette, finding comfort in her crate during the night. Josey revels in outdoor activities and is in her element during long walks or engaging play sessions. This spirited pup cherishes human interaction and bonds quickly. She was raised with young children and will make a wonderful family dog. Her foster parents have been working on basic obedience, and she's proven to be a quick learner. Josey's intelligence shines, but her puppy energy persists, requiring a family committed to continued training. She thrives in the company of other dogs, exemplified by her deep friendship with her foster brother Angus. Josey's foster parents describe her as a loving soul, devoid of any aggression. She's inquisitive and relishes exploring new environments. Verbal in a unique, husky way, Josey communicates her needs, whether it's potty time or seeking attention. Although she's made progress with manners around food, she's still a work in progress. For this vivacious Lab, a fenced yard and an active household are essential. Josey's ideal home includes individuals ready to embrace her exuberance, provide ongoing training, and perhaps another dog in the family for added playtime joy. With love and attention, Josey promises to be a lifelong friend, bringing boundless happiness to her forever home. Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
