Meet Jacky

About Me Available for Adoption Awoo! (That's my special way of saying hello!) My name is Jacky, and I'm looking for my forever family. I know I might seem a little shy at first – new places and faces make me a bit nervous – but can I tell you a secret? Once I get to know you, I turn into the most loving and loyal companion you could ever imagine! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm what you might call a gentle soul with a dash of playfulness. Nothing makes me happier than following my favorite humans around the house, hoping for belly rubs (they're my absolute favorite!) or maybe a quick game of fetch with a tennis ball. I'm not one of those high-energy pups who needs to run marathons – one nice walk a day suits me just fine, and then I'm ready for some quality cuddle time on the couch. Oh, and did I mention my special talent? When I get really excited or have something important to say, I make this unique "Awoo" sound that everyone seems to find adorable. It's much more refined than regular barking, if I do say so myself! Actually, I'm generally quite the quiet lady, only speaking up when I really have something to say. I'm a very good girl when it comes to house manners – I'm fully potty trained and I walk like a dream on a leash. No pulling here! I just match your pace and keep an eye on you to make sure we're in sync.  One of my favorite things is making new four-legged friends! I love playing with other dogs, sharing toys, and even cuddling with them. I'm very good at reading their signals and always respect their boundaries – I'm a polite pup, after all! What I'm really looking for is a patient family who understands that the best relationships take a little time to grow. I promise that if you give me the chance to get comfortable and feel secure, I'll reward you with endless love, loyalty, and yes, the occasional celebratory "Awoo!" When I'm nervous about new situations, I'll look to you for reassurance, and you'll always have a faithful friend by your side. So what do you say? Could you be the forever family I've been waiting for? I'd love to meet you and show you just how special our bond could be! I have been spayed and microchipped and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey Love and Awoos, Jacky

Adoption Process
Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
