Meet Harley
Harley Cocker Spaniel, 7 years old, Spayed female Harley is available for foster-to-adopt. Hi there! I'm Harley, and my heart's been on quite the journey lately. My beloved person passed away- the one who'd been my whole world - and I suddenly found myself in a strange place called a shelter. Those first days were rough. I couldn't stop shaking, and everything felt so unfamiliar. But then the amazing people at C.A.R.E. stepped into my life. Their gentle hands and soft voices showed me that kindness still existed. With each bath, vet visit, and tender pat on my head, I started to feel like myself again. They helped me remember that even though my person is gone, there's still joy to be found in each day. At 7 years old and a compact 25 pounds, I'm the perfect package of love and companionship. My favorite thing? Meeting new people! I can't help but share my affection with everyone who crosses my path. Here's what I've learned: life can surprise you with both sadness and joy. I'm ready to write a new chapter, hopefully one that includes you. Could you be the one to help make my story whole again? Love and licks,Harley If you are interested in more information or would like to meet this dog, please fill out our online adoption survey: carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey
Adoption Process
Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
