Meet Roux

About Me Foster to Adopt - Pending Spay Hi, I’m Roux! They call me a "mini-husky," and at just 33 pounds, I'm the perfect adventure-sized companion! My signature move? A tiny but mighty "Awoooooo" that's become legendary around the shelter. It's my way of saying hello! My absolute favorite thing in the world? Sitting outside, watching the world buzz by. I love seeing all the action – people walking, kids playing, birds flying. It's like my own personal live nature documentary! When I'm with my human, I feel safe and content, soaking in every moment of outdoor life. Speaking of outdoors, I'm your perfect hiking and picnic buddy! I'm gentle, relatively quiet, and always up for an adventure. Whether it's a mountain trail or a sunny park, I'm ready to explore by your side. My energy is just right, making me the ideal match for those who love a bit of fresh air and companionship. I might be small, but my heart is huge. I'm looking for a patient family who will continue to help me grow, understand, and love life. Could that be you? I will be spayed and microchipped and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey

Adoption Process
Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
