Meet Bagheera

Meet Bagheera, a 9-month-old, 45-pound Lab mix with a heart full of love and a world of potential! Bagheera is making great progress with house training and does wonderfully in her crate. She adores playtime, whether it’s romping in the yard or the house with her canine pals, chasing after toys, chewing on bones, or playing fetch. Once she’s tuckered out, she’s all about snuggling up for some quality lap time. While Bagheera is initially timid, she thrives in the company of other confident dogs who can help her feel secure and build her confidence. She’s also a big fan of walks and would do best in a home with a fenced yard to keep her safe as she adjusts to new surroundings. Because of her initial shyness, Bagheera will do best in a home with older, respectful kids who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. Bagheera’s foster mom says, “Bagheera is the sweetest girl once she warms up to people, though she’s understandably cautious at first. Her rough start in life has made her initially fearful, but with patience, space, and some tasty treats, she blossoms into a loyal, velcro dog. She warmed up to me in about an hour and to my teenage son in a day. Now, she follows us everywhere and loves snuggling as much as she loves playing. She absolutely thrives with other dogs and would do best with a canine sibling. She’s tolerant of rough play and knows when to back off if another dog signals they’re done. Bagheera can be a reactive barker at times, so a home without shared walls would be ideal. This sweet, loving girl has so much to offer, and she’s ready to bring her endless affection to her forever family.” Bagheera is ready to start her next chapter with a family who understands her needs and is excited to help her continue to blossom. Could that be you? Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
