This handsome hunk is Milo, a 7-year-old, 105.7-pound Chocolate Labrador Retriever. He's a very big boy - strong on the leash, but is doing better with an easy-walk harness. Wish Bone is looking for an adopter who is experienced with large breeds and who can physically handle Milo. Due to Milo's size, children in the home must be age 12 years and up. Milo is still adjusting to life in his foster home, and he will bark when startled (loud noises, people moving around the house, his reflection). He's leery of men, but is making progress. Milo will bark or make a low growl, but if you talk sweetly to him, he'll calm down for pets. He'll quickly start wagging his tail. He'll need time to adjust in his new home and will do best with slow and calm introductions. Allow him to retreat to his crate to calm down when visitors are present. This big boy is house- and crate-trained. He loves to play fetch and with toys. Milo's a smart guy and he knows these commands: sit, lay down, wait, shake, and stay (sometimes). Although Milo hasn't met any dogs, he's doing fine with the cats in the house. Milo's foster mom and sisters say: "He is so sweet, loving, and fun!" Milo loves to give kisses. If you have room in your heart for Milo, he'd love to meet you. His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
