Meet Eugene

Eugene is a 4-month-old Lab mix who weighs about 24 pounds and is as sweet as can be. He’s a shy boy who takes a little time to warm up, but once he does, he’ll happily follow you around and snuggle up on the couch for long naps. Eugene is super smart, a good listener, and fairly easy to train. He already knows "sit" and "shake" and is treat-motivated to learn more. While he’s still settling in and getting used to his surroundings, Eugene loves spending time with his person and is sure to show more of his playful side as he gains confidence. Eugene gets along well with men, women, and cats, though he might bark at feline friends occasionally. He hasn’t been around children, but with his gentle nature, he’d likely do well with calm and respectful kids who let him come to them first. This sweet, adaptable boy will thrive in any loving home after a little time to adjust. If you’re looking for a smart, loving companion who enjoys cuddles, naps, and being by your side, Eugene is ready to meet you! His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
