We love Lucy! A delightful 2-year-old female retriever mix, weighing 54 lbs. Lucy is an outgoing and friendly girl who thrives on playtime in the yard with other dogs, toys, chews, and walks. With a sunny disposition and a love for play, Lucy is a happy-go-lucky canine companion who is sure to bring joy and laughter to any household lucky enough to adopt her. She's great with both dogs and kids, although her compatibility with cats is unknown. Lucy house and crate trained, but otherwise is very puppy-like. She loves to chew, so durable toys are recommended. She will tear up beds and blankets if she gets bored in her crate, so should be kept stimulated when possible. She is still quite mouthy in learning to play, but that trait is being worked on. Lucy just has has a lot of upbeat puppy energy, and loves to play with other dogs who also meet that energy. Lucy's caretaker believes she would excel in various environments, but emphasizes the importance of a fenced yard to get in her running. Furthermore, Lucy's foster feels she would greatly benefit from having a doggy friend in her forever home to share adventures, playtime, and retrieving with! Be Lucy's hero and adopt her into your loving family today! Her minimum adoption fee is $195 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
