Wish Bone Canine Rescue

several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Meet Mindy

Greetings, Friends! My name is Mindy, and I'm an adorable 10-year-old Miniature Schnauzer Mix who weighs 12.9 pounds. Yes, good things come in small packages! I do well with the small dogs in my foster home. Although I haven't been tested with big dogs or cats, my foster mom thinks I'll do fine with them. I absolutely love my 4-year-old human foster sister and cuddle with her in the evenings. I'm a curious girl who loves people. I'm a bit slow to warm up, and my foster family is working with me to build my confidence. I'm slowly coming out of my shell, and love exploring the house and seeing what my foster mom is doing. I'm still a little skittish, but I've never been reactive. Although I'm not a high energy girl, I enjoy a good walk for my potty breaks. I'm  making progress with house-training and prefer doing my business on a walk rather than in the backyard. I tolerate my crate but would much rather sleep with my people. My foster mom shared these good tidbits about me: "Mindy is a very sweet girl who always wants to know what's going on but prefers to observe rather than participate. She walks great on a leash and enjoys being out and about. She adores greeting everyone when they come in the door and she's sad to see them leave."  My adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. I have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and am on flea and heartworm preventatives. To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:   http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html For information about this dog's breed(s), visit: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm  To fill out our adoption application, go to: http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html
