Meet Kai, a 2-year-old, 65-pound Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as his goofy personality! Now that he's in a foster home, we’ve learned so much about this sweet, affectionate boy. Kai is house-trained (not a single transitional accident!) and lightly chews on toys and bones without being destructive. He’s crate-trained, though he might whine a little at first, and he absolutely adores snuggling up in bed with his people at night. Kai's foster mom describes him as the ultimate cuddle buddy and a low-energy couch potato who’s happiest just hanging out with his family. He’s great with dogs, men, women, strangers, and even young children—his foster home includes four little ones, and he’s completely unfazed by their antics. Kai is loyal and loving, following his people around the house like a true “velcro dog.” He knows basic commands, enjoys car rides, and charms everyone with his calm, gentle demeanor. Kai would thrive in a warm, welcoming home where he can be part of the family. Whether you’re looking for a quiet companion to share the couch or a steady friend to brighten your days, Kai is ready to fill your life with love and laughter. His adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if he’s 4 months or older. Don’t miss the chance to make Kai part of your life! He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
