Meet Miller
Miller So.....about Miller. Miller is a moderately active, young, neutered male Border Collie. He was in a Tennessee animal shelter when we learned about him. He was picked up by animal control apparently for chasing horses. He was at the shelter for about 4 months before coming to Indiana. He is very people friendly. He is suspicious of unfamiliar dogs initially, but once he gets to know them, he is pretty indifferent. He is fine with 7 other dogs here. I am suspicious that he may have had a head injury when he was younger. In my observations of him, I am suspicious that he may have a hard time with depth perception. It doesn't really change anything about living with him. He just gets surprised by things at times. He is good on leash and regularly walked on a long line. He comes pretty well, to his name, when called. He is good in the car. Good in his crate. He avoids cats and is almost a little afraid of them. He LOVES bath time!! He is a very sweet boy that would do best in a home as an only dog or with another dog, preferably a Border Collie (because he does best with other Border Collies at this time) that is indifferent to other dogs as well. His restrictions from heartworm treatment will be starting to lift at the end of this month....then he can gradually start to resume normal activities. He tested negative for Heartworm in December and then positive in April. He should have had a pretty low worm burdenPlease contact [email protected] if you have any questions about Miller. You can complete an application to adopt Miller or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org . *** The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.
Adoption Process
Adoption process includes completing an application, having personal references checked, vet checks and home visit by one of our volunteers. Your application and backup information is then presented to the Board/Committee for review. Once your application has been approved, you may then schedule a meeting with the dog(s) in which you are interested. The foster home has the final approval on the adoption of his or her dog.
