Perry County Humane Society of Illinois

We are a no kill shelter who aims to educate the public about responsible pet ownership & the importance of spaying and neutering pets. We encourage people to adopt pets instead of shopping for pets! We promote keeping pets healthy through routine vet care, getting adequate nutrition and exercise, and we recruit volunteers on a regular basis to work with our animals. We have very few employees (only 2 currently) and run almost entirely on a volunteer staff.

Wishbone is a happy active Jack Russell mix.  He's as feisty and energetic as his breed should be.  He loves his squeaky toys and playing with people!  He's got the biggest bork in town and loves telling all the other dogs all about themselves and their problems :D :D .  Wishbone keep a clean kennel and is good on a leash.   He is heartworm negative and neutered.  Wishbone is ready to go home as soon as your application is approved!  Apply today!!

Adoption Process
Applicants must apply and pass a thorough screening process, which includes vet and personal reference checks. They must sign contracts and pay an adoption fee.
