It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Kennedy! Name: Kennedy   Age: 1 year   Gender: Male   Breed: Mixed Breed   Kennedy is a resilient and loving pup who was pulled from a partner shelter in Kentucky after being found as a stray with a broken leg. Thanks to the care he received, he is now fully healed and ready to find his forever home! This friendly boy gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, making him the perfect addition to any family. Kennedy loves to socialize and has a great time participating in Doggie Day Out events, where he can show off his playful personality. If you're looking for a sweet and adaptable companion, Kennedy is your guy! Come meet him and see if you can give this charming boy the loving home he deserves. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
