Meet Cherry Blossom

Meet Cherry Blossom! This sweet little puppy girl is eight months old and only 22 pounds. She is great with other dogs and very playful. She has been in a foster home with other dogs and cats… That she may try to play with from time to time, as well as children. She is enjoying learning the good life. She absolutely adores toys and will collect them in a little pile. It’s the cutest thing ever second only to her sweet little face when she gives intentional puppy eyes!

Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
