It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Gunnar is a 9-year-old male Shih Tzu, weighing 16 lbs, with a charming black and white coat. This little gentleman is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy snuggles, naps, and the company of his favorite people—especially the ladies! Gunnar is a smart pup who knows the phrases "ride," "outside," and "bye-bye," and he’s always ready for an adventure. He would do best in a home with kids over 10 years old who understand his small-dog personality.If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who enjoys cozy cuddle time and relaxing naps, Gunnar is your guy! Apply to adopt at ITVrescue.org!All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.
