It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Chief is a lovable and energetic male terrier mix born in June 2024. He is full of personality and adores being the center of attention. Chief does great with other dogs and actively participated in doggie playgroups at his previous shelter. He is also good with kids, though due to his playful and bouncy nature, he would thrive best in a home with older children who can match his enthusiasm. Whether he's playing, exploring, or soaking up affection, Chief is always ready for his next adventure. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion, Chief is waiting to meet you!
