This sweet tiny boy is the sweetest thing in the entire world. “Hi I’m Armand and all I want to do is be held and cuddled ALL the time- but I can hold off for a few if you’d like to go on a walk. I’m very good on my leash already and enjoy exploring very much. I know sit, I’m crate trained and my foster mom keeps trying to me to do something called shake but I’m not sure what that’s all about. I am small but mighty, I was definitely the runt of my litter. I play well with all other doggos. I might be a mutt but I am 100% angel.
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
