It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Journey! From stray to adoptable sweetheart, Journey is ready for her fresh start! At 4 years old and 46 lbs, Journey may not be the smallest pup, but she still thinks she's a lap dog—so be prepared for lots of cuddles! She absolutely loves being around her people, including kids, and thrives on affection.Journey prefers smaller dog friends and has already made a quick bestie in one of our resident beagles.
