When Agent Squiggles is on the case, no lap is safe. This tiny Terrier and Italian Greyhound mix, hates to see an empty lap, but loves snuggles and kisses. Potty trained, crate trained, good with dogs, cats, and kids, Agent Squiggles is an ideal companion. Just under 20 pounds and around 8 months old, she is just about full grown. She’s not much of a barker, but when she sees you, she’ll hop excitedly on two legs until you give her some lovin. Agent Squiggles does well on a leash. She would also be happy to snuggle against you in a baby carrier. And, with just the occasional case of the small dog zoomies, Agent Squiggles would be a great dog for an apartment or a house with a yard.
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
