It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Ash

Meet, Ash! Ash is a blue heeler mix located at the Spencer County Rescue. She is a playful pup with a zest for all things cuddly! Ash is right around 5 month old and is learning leash manners and how to be the best girl! She is treat motivated and is cute as a button. She is in need of a foster home until her vetting is completed. Fosters do have the chance to adopt, if you fall in love. If you can offer a temporary foster home, please complete a foster application at ITVrescue.org.All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.
