Kentuckiana Pug Rescue

Kentuckiana Pug Rescue (KPR) is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization (permit #P15-001003) committed to helping all needy Pugs in the states of Indiana and Kentucky.  We work to find both abandoned, as well as surrendered Pugs, loving, forever homes in which they can live out the rest of their lives. KPR does not have a central facility where Pugs can be visited.  Each rescued Pug lives with a foster family until they can be placed in an adoptive home.

Meet Buddy

Buddy is a very gentle soul. He’s about 5/6 years old and was found as a stray so his history is unknown. This adaptable boy is good with other dogs and cats, big or small and would enjoy having companions in his forever home. He loves nothing more than exploring outside or chewing on his toys and is a gentleman on a leash, enjoying all the sniffs on his walks.        Buddy can be a bit shy and timid with new people at first and because of this, he’d do well in a home with kids old enough to understand his need for space while adapting. He does love to cuddle and give kisses while getting ear and butt scratches but does not need to be on top of someone all the time. He’s a very happy dog once he gets comfortable and is all wrinkly smiles and tail wags.       Currently, Buddy is working on crate training and potty training. He’s done well with both and has not pooped in his foster's home but does mark if you’re not paying attention. Luckily, he’s perfectly content wearing a belly band and will even take himself outside if the door is open.       Buddy does have some aversion to younger men and boys. He’s done well in foster homes with older men but struggles to bond with younger ones. Do you have room in your pack for sweet, adorable Buddy?
