It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Currently located at the Spencer county location in Chrisney. Meet Mika! Mika is a little over a year old and packed full of love, wiggles, and personality! This adorable Pit Bull Terrier is a shortstack with a big heart—she may be compact, but her charm is larger than life.With her beautiful beige, white, and grey coat and her love-everyone attitude, Mika turns heads and melts hearts wherever she goes. She’s social, affectionate, and always ready to make a new best friend.If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Mika is your girl! If interested in, Mika, submit an application at ITVrescue.org. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.
