Beautiful, sometimes bashful, Babe is a 3-5-year-old female German Shepherd seeking a forever family. Babe was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in Kentucky. She's a thin 65 pounds but is gaining weight in her foster home and heading towards an ideal weight of about 75 pounds. Babe is not only a beautiful face but also an excellent ambassador for her breed and is even-tempered, intelligent, loyal, and watchful. She can be a little timid when meeting new people but warms up readily with some kind words and gentle pets. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more faithful and loyal companion than Babe. Like most Shepherds, she's sensitive, highly intuitive, affectionate, eager to please, and bonds closely with her people! She is very well-behaved in the house, crate-trained, and housebroken. German Shepherds are active, intelligent dogs who thrive with guardians who can provide lots of mental and physical stimulation to channel their energy into something productive. Babe will be an excellent companion for an active household and a Shepherd lover's dream dog! Babe is being fostered in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after an adoption application has been completed and approved. Her adoption donation to the rescue is $375. This fee helps to cover her spay, initial vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an adoption application unless you are ready to meet and welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. For more information or to receive an application, email [email protected] or visit palsplacerescue.org Adoption applications and correspondence from the rescue may end up in your spam or junk folder. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly. • Babe's adoption fee is $375. This fee helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare her for adoption. Adoption Process
The majority of our dogs are rescued from Hazard County, Kentucky. After rescue, the dogs are placed into foster homes in Chicago. Once in fosters, our dogs are fully vetted. This includes age-appropriate vaccines, microchips, parasite control and testing, heartworm testing and treatment if ncessary and any other care needed prior to adoption. All dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered before placement. Our adoption fees for senior dogs (8+) start at $175, our fee for adult dogs is $375 and our fee for puppies 6 months or younger is $475. An application is required to be considered for adoption and an adoption contract is signed at the time of adoption including a clause that any dog must be returned to Pal's Place for placement at any point if the adopter is unable to care for the dog.
