Meet Clyde
Clyde is estimated to be about 5 years old. He is a large lab mix currently weighing in at 90 lbs who is in the market for a forever family to snuggle up with. Clyde loves spending time on the couch next to (or on the laps of) people. He loves all people, and he is not picky about laps. Clyde is a typical playful silly lab who loves life outside of the shelter. Clyde loves balls! They are his favorite type of toy. Sometimes he takes a tennis ball with him on his walk so he doesn't have to leave it at home alone. Clyde loves walks, and he walks well on a leash. His ideal walk is not too long but regular. A walk around the block once a day would be perfect for him. Clyee is crate trained and currently spends the workday in a crate while his foster family is gone, although he prefers more comforable accommodations at night. Clyde is potty trained and has excellent house manners. He has never gotten anything off the counter or chewed up something that wasn't a toy. Clyde is currently in a foster home with another dog and kids. When he was in Texas, his foster home had 7 other dogs. He enjoys the company of other dogs. He doesn't even mind when other dogs run out to visit him during a walk. He is willing to meet all dogs. There is not a cat in his foster home, but his Texas foster let us know he was also good with cats. Due to his size, kids must be 6+ (he will lay on little laps too, and he is a lot of dog for a little lap). Clyde loves kids. He is fostered with a 9 and 12 year old and has met many others. He is good about not jumping up on people... but if anyone is sitting or lying down, he can't resist the opportunity to snuggle. Clyde does sometimes bark when he wants something like to go in the car, sees someone outside, or to play. He isn't a constant barker, just when he is excited and wants to let you know. He is not suited for apartment life. Clyde is looking for a forever home that will both play with him and cuddle with him. He really wants to be part of the family. A fenced-in yard is preferred, and potential homes must be within 90 minutes of Battle Creek, MI. Clyde is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. If you have questions about Clyde not covered in this bio, please email [email protected]. To apply to adopt, visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org and fill out an adoption application.
