Meet Chili Pepper 2025

CHILI PEPPER is a stunning 3 year old 27 pound mini Australian Shepherd looking for a home. He's a timid guy when meeting new people, but bonds closely to the people he loves. Chili Pepper loves loves loves other dogs and will spend hours running and romping in the yard with his doggie friends. He must go to a home with another active, playful friendly dog (or dogs) and a physically fenced yard. He's not a social butterfly, Chili Pepper is best suited to a home where he won't have to meet lots of new people. He isn't a dog park/bar/restaurant-type dog. He's a guy who just want to party down in the backyard. We don't believe he's a good fit for a home with young kids but dog savvy respectful tweens or teens should be okay. Chili Pepper is house broken, crate trained and fine with cats. If you'd like to meet Chili Pepper, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhousrescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
