Champaign Area Trap Spay Neuter and Adoption Program

Established in 2005, CATsNAP is a non-profit, volunteer based group that seeks to reduce pet overpopulation and to improve the welfare of animals in the greater Champaign County Illinois area. We strongly advocate that animals are spayed or neutered regardless of breed, sex or age. Our program offers spay and neuter assistance and basic veterinary treatment - including flea and parasite treatment and routine vaccinations - to needy or unowned animals. We also provide humane education to community and civic groups on the care of animals and the importance of spaying/neutering in population control. We have a limited intake, no-kill adoption program. Most animals are transferred from municipal animal control facilities. All animals are in foster homes or at an off-site adoption partner site. Animals are never euthanized for space. At CATsNAP, our goal is to promote successful pet ownership and place animals in a loving, pet friendly home.

Meet Coco Chanel

Today is National Dog Day and in honor of that we are listing CoCo Chanel. CoCo is a beautiful, elegant and very affectionate male terrier breed small dog who is neutered and will soon be vetted for his vaccines , and housebroken. He can be vocal but only to show he has concerns such as going out , or when telling you he loves you. His long term owner recently passed away and he is experiencing some anxiety and does suffer from some separation anxiety but settles down quickly and is very well behaved, listens well to commands and knows his name. He loves to cuddle and especially loves to sleep near his owner and is just looking for a forever home where he can love his people and be loved forever. He is great with other dogs, cats , children etc but Is better suited with a couple or family that will be home or with him a majority of the time or take him with you as he loves car rides, walks and adventures. He is very healthy , about ten years old and extremely affectionate, loyal and friendly. He is nothing but ears and heart! Thank you for your interest in a Catsnap cat or kitten! If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org. We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes. For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet. Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved. Initial vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus [cats]  Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) [cats]  Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions Micro-chipping as mandated by state law

Adoption Process
$115 up to 6 mo, $85 6mo & over, unless otherwise stated, assumed acceptance of contract including landlord releases if necessary, vet references, previous animal history, employment history, etc with finalization of adoption.
