It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Rider is at the Spencer County location in Chrisney. Meet Rider! At 1 year and 5 months old, Rider is the ultimate cuddlebug—seriously, did we mention cuddles? This sweet pup loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite humans. But when he's not curled up for love, he's happily playing with toy balls, always ready for a fun game of fetch or chase.Rider is also super treat-motivated and already knows how to sit like a pro! With a little encouragement (and, of course, some yummy treats), he's eager to keep learning and making his people proud.If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and oh-so-snuggly companion, Rider is ready to steal your heart! Could this cuddle champion be your perfect match?  If you are interested in adopting Rider, submit an application at ITVrescue.orgAll of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.
