Meet Autumn

We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue.We DO NOT have a shelter setting.Apply to adopt by filling out the online adoption application on our main website dakotadachshundrescue.orgClick on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it. This is the very lovely Autumn. She just arrived at DDR so she is busy learning to be a house puppy. She loves attention and likes to stay close in case you want to give her some pets. She is great with all the other foster pups.  We will get her fully vetted and ready for her new home. She does require a fenced yard. Her spay and dental are scheduled Oct 8th Autumn is about 7 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. Her adoption fee is $325 plus tax of $14.63 for a total of $339.63. My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella,spay, dental and microchipping.

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
