I am very afraid of new people and surrounding. My foster mom could not touch me the first three days at her home :( On the third day she finally won me over with string cheese and we have been best buds ever since. I did try to go to Woofstock but I freaked out so my foster dad took me back home where it wasn't so wild and crazy.... WHEW! That was far too many people for me. The other thing that freaks me out is scrubs, I am terrified everytime I see my foster mom in scrubs. She has to change before she comes to see me when she get home from work. SCRUBS are scarry! I am now 7 months old, I am fully vetted, my best buddy is Billy the cocker spaniel that had heart surgery, I love to run, chase and play with him in my foster mom's fenced back yard. We have soooo much fun together. I love having other dogs my size to play with. Because I am so active and so fearful of new people a fenced yard is a must to keep me safe! Do you have the love and patience to be my furever home? I am a really cool young pup but I do have some major fears! I am 8 months old, my adoption fee is $600 plus sales tax $27=$627 My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter/spay, dental if needed and microchipping.
Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
