GYPSY IS SCHEDULED FOR HER SPAY ON APRIL 9 AND WILL NOT BE AVAILABE FOR ADOPTION OUTSIDE A 30 MINUTE RADIUS OF DES MOINES UNTIL AFTER HER SPAY IF SHE HAS NOT BEEN ADOPTED BEFORE THEN. Gypsy is an approximate 12-week-old, 15 lb., female, possible Hound/Lab mix. I found myself homeless, when my prior human abandoned me and my 3 siblings in a box and left us at a library in Oklahoma. Fortunately, we were found and some amazing people helped us find our way to Iowa! You may think I'm just another black dog, but if you look closely, I'm not really black...my foster momma calls me Espresso cuz I'm a very dark chocolate. I have a unique white "tattoo" on my chest that looks just like a butterfly! And that fits my personality perfectly!!! Just like my name, I'm a free spirit who loves to run, play and explore everything!! But I also have a delicate side and love to snuggle and get belly rubs. I love to play with my foster fur siblings, and I keep up with all their "ruff" play. I love to play outside and would love a fenced backyard to play in. But as long as my human is active and includes me, that's good for me. I stay in a kennel at night and whenever my foster family is away. I don't love it (I'drather be out exploring!), but I settle down quickly and I sleep all night. I think I'm getting the hang of this potty training thing, but I need reminders, especially when there are other fun things to do outside like chasing leaves and chewing on sticks. I don't know much about cats or little kids yet, but I think I would get along with both, if my new family teaches me and is patient.
