Cedar Valley Pit Bull Rescue

I am the director and we bring dogs in that are found on the streets, owner surrenders, from shelters, we vet them and make sure they are fully vetted. We adopt to home owners for pit bulls only and if we have other dogs not pit bull we adopt them to those who are renters. The goal of home owners is less returns. We are huge on safety and do education . We want to part of the solution and not the problem and cut down on dogs going to the shelters. We feel they best in the home environment

Meet Dixie

Dixie is a sweet and spunky little lady. She gets little bursts of energy that don’t last long, and she’s not really into toys- at least the ones I’ve given her. She is fully house broken, and while she prefers to do her business outside (unless it’s too cold ). Dixie reliably uses potty pads when she needs to go and she can’t get outside. She does great with the cat in the home, has tried to play a little with her, but for the most part is content to give the cat her space, because the cat demands it. Dixie is a little finicky with food - there are certain kibbles she just won’t touch. She also turns her nose up sometimes at the wet food initially, but can usually be encouraged to eat it if I hand feed her the first couple bites. She has been fighting an ear infection and has a follow up soon. She enjoys car rides, and likes to either ride in a dog bed or in your lap. She is about 50/50 in regards to preferring to snuggle vs preferring to cozy up in the human’s bed by herself. The only time Dixie barks is when someone is at the door, so you’ll never have a visitor without an alert!

Adoption Process
puppies are $350.00, adults $300.00, we have a contract with each adoption. , We go over apps, do back ground checks and home visits, we talk with the people and do vet references.
