Meet Roo

Roo is a 1.5-year-old, 42 lb., female, Pitbull Terrier. Roo is the sweetest pup who absolutely LOVES her people. She's pretty slow to warm up to men and a little nervous in new situations but anyone else is her best friend! Roo kennels well and does good going to the bathroom outside with reminders to go out. Roo's favorite things are snuggling on the couch, playing with her foster pup siblings, and chewing on bones. She was surrendered to a local vet clinic due to her being a danger to the cat in the home she was living in. SHE NEEDS A HOME WITH NO CATS due to her high prey drive. She has not had any issues with small dogs, but since she does not do well with cats we are concerned she may mistake a small dog as prey if not introduced properly.  If you are interested in meeting Roo please complete an online application at https://hopeanimalrescueofiowa.duplie.com/forms/196/dog-application Adoption fee is $250 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines. 

Adoption Process
We require an application be completed, do home visits and check references. Have meet and greets with children and other pets. We require animals be returned to us if circumstances change. We require a signed adoption contract. We do not allow our animals to be kept outdoors. $100 Senior Dog (9+ years old) $200 Adult Dog $225 Puppy $30 Senior Cat (10+ years old) $60 Adult Cat $100 Kitten (or 2 for $150) Purebred/Designer dog adoption fees will be determined on case by case basis dependent on finders fees, vetting costs and transporting fees. Each purebreds breed will determine baseline fee.
