Tate (7 years old) and Tucker (6 years old) are a bonded pair of German Shorthaired Pointers who recently lost their loving owner when she passed unexpectedly. These handsome boys are looking for a home together as we want to ensure they do not lose each other in what may be a confusing time for them. Tate and Tucker are wonderful, gentle dogs. They are dog friendly and could pair easily with other dogs near their size. They would also be best suited in a home with no cats or young children at this time. They are gentle, loving, and loyal despite recently having their world turned upside down. Tate (orange collar) is the older of the two boys. He LOVES toys and when it comes to getting love and attention, he will lean on you all day! Tucker (green collar) has big floppy ears and appears to be slightly taller and larger than his brother. Tucker is easily frightened and scared of loud noises. He is on daily medication to make sure he feels as happy and as comfortable as can be despite being a bit scared of new things. Tate and Tucker's adoption fee is $500 and includes their neuter, microchips, current vaccinations and prevention, plus a free basic obedience class at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires all adopters have a history of having kept indoor only pets that are altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If you are interested in meeting or adopting these lovely boys, please submit an adoption application on our website for consideration.
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
