Kala is a gorgeous BMD pup in search of her forever family! Kala was surrendered to SFCR due to some changes in the family and at no fault of her own. She is an incredibly sweet dog, loves toys, loves to play, and walks well on a leash. Kala is crate trained and doing very well with housetraining but will have an occasional accident if cues are missed. Kala knows the commands sit, stay, down, leave it, and will wait to start eating her food until you say her name! Kala is still a puppy and is currently pretty active but does have moments of calm and is very snuggly :) Due to an accident this past fall, Kala underwent FHO surgery to repair her hip. She has recovered beautifully and has no lasting ill effects at all. We will discuss this in greater detail with her potential family. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Family with the time and patience required to continue training and socializing a large/giant breed puppy. Physically fenced in yard preferred but not required. Kala would LOVE a family with another large breed dog to play with! Kala is current on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, and microchipped. **It is highly recommended to wait to spay/neuter large/giant breed puppies until at least 1 year of age as they need their hormones to grow properly. Kala is not currently spayed but will be adopted out with a signed spay contract/agreement. Her surgery will be scheduled with our veterinarian in Brandon, SD and covered by SFCR when age appropriate. *Local adoption only.
