Meet Stormy

Meet Stormy! a 3.5-month-old, Heeler/Shepherd Mix, 18 lbs. Stormy is an adorable, intelligent, and playful puppy who’s ready to find her forever home. She was rescued along with her siblings and mom (a Heeler) from Oklahoma, and she’s now healthy, spayed, and up to date on medications. This sweet girl has a lot of energy and is incredibly smart—she’s very treat-motivated, making training a breeze! Stormy is potty pad trained and is actively working on mastering outdoor potty training. She’s also doing well on a leash and is learning the ropes of walking politely. Stormy is currently adjusting to kennel life and has made great progress! She is still vocal about being in her kennel, but she’s shown significant improvement and can now comfortably stay in her kennel for 6-7 hours during the workday. With time, she’ll likely grow even more accustomed to it. She is living in a multi-dog household with three medium/large resident dogs and one small breed foster dog, and she’s doing fantastic with all of them. Stormy loves to play, chase, and interact with her foster siblings, and she’s especially fond of her toys. She gets along wonderfully with both the adults and children in her foster home (ages 9 and 13), and would thrive in a home where she’s included in family activities. Stormy has not been exposed to cats, so we’re not sure how she’d do in a home with them. Stormy is looking for an active, loving family who can help her continue her training and provide her with plenty of playtime, love, and attention. If you’re ready for a fun, smart, and affectionate puppy, Stormy just might be the perfect fit for you! Siblings: Ruger (M)  Mimi (F)  Chai (F)  Stormy (F) If you are interested in meeting Stormy, please complete an online application at  https://hopeanimalrescueofiowa.duplie.com/forms/196/dog-application Adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.
