Introducing Gigi! What's not to love about this darling little 4 pound wiggle butt? She wakes up every morning, happy as can be and full of energy! She loves being carried around and insists she lay her head on you whenever you're sitting nearby. She needs a little time to warm up to new people, but after that she is your best friend! She would love to have another little dog to play with and gets super excited whenever the leash comes out because that means she gets to go on walks. She walks perfectly and loves being outside. She also enjoys lounging in her dog bed where she can dig and hide under all the blankets. She may need a sign saying "don't step here" because she will completely bury herself in the bed. With her being so tiny, she would be best suited in a home with no large dogs or small children that do not understand they may hurt her. She will also require a securely fenced in back yard. Gigi's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and prevention, plus a free basic obedience training class at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes background and reference checks, a vet history check, and a home visit. If you would like to meet Gigi, please fill out an adoption application for consideration on our website, adopthope.org.
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
