Meet Brisby! This young fella came to us as a local stray after finding himself lost in Big G's parking lot in Marengo. After coming into the pound with hopes of finding his owner, he was never reclaimed. Brisby has found himself a warm place to call home until his forever home is found! This fella seems to love everyone he meets and enjoys the attention of the many volunteers he sees on a daily basis. He is working on his leash walking skills and manners, but we know it won't take him long to learn. He appears to be a smart boy! He has mastered the "sit" command, but we feel it would be best if his adoptive family had time to commit to an obedience class to help build a strong connection and help guide him with learning how to properly meet new friends and enjoy a loose leash walk, etc. As we get to know Brisby more, we will be introducing him to other dogs and cats to see what type of home will best suit him. Brisby has been brought up-to-date on his vaccinations, has been microchipped, neutered, and started on his monthly flea/tick & heartworm preventatives... this means he is officially ready to find a home of his own! If you're interested in meeting Brisby, please complete an online adoption application as part of the meet & greet process. This application can be found on our website, www.wesavepets.com. Once the application has been submitted, a Safe Haven volunteer will be in contact to set up a meeting time. If you have another dog(s) in your home currently, a meet & greet time would be required for the dog(s) to meet Brisby.
Adoption Process
Adopters must fill out an application and be approved. Appointment is made to meet/pick up the pet. Adoption fee is returned if the adopter notifies us the adoption in not working and returns the pet within two weeks.
