$150.00Bryson was born at our shelter on Feb. 11th. His mom Hetty looks to be a lab/beagle mix, maybe with terrier and/or heeler. We don't know who his daddy is but he strongly resembles a German shepherd. He is the biggest of the litter and is nearly twice the size of his siblings! His adoption fee of $150 covers all of his basic vet work - all 3 distemper/parvo combo shots, his rabies shot (when old enough), microchip, and neuter surgery (when old enough). Bryson's personality matches his size. He is boisterous, affectionate, and fun. He is a puppy, however, and will require a lot of training in all areas. We do think he'd do well with other dogs and is young enough to learn how to act appropriately around cats. Kids should be fine, too, with proper supervision. He needs a committed home in which he will not be left alone for long hours. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
